My new roommate!

So I finally got my roomie last night. His name is Joon and he is a Police Administration major. He is 26 years old (28 in korea [in korean years, everyone is 2 years older than normal, don't ask me why] and a very friendly person. A few of my suitemates and I decided to eat dinner together to help get to know each other and it was a fun experience.

The first picture was from yesterday's dinner:

These pictures are of my suitemates and I eating our Pizza and fried chicken that we ordered.

About the Korean age system....
Korean people count babies'ages when they are conceived. So when they are born, they are already one year old.
And in the western world, people get older only when they have their birthday. But in Korea, people regard that they get one year older when it is New Year's Day.
For example, when a baby's birthday is on December 21, 2006 and you meet the baby on March 5, people say that s/he is 2 years old. So, the baby's life as a 2 year-old-boy(girl) has started on New Year's day in lunar month.

I know it's a bit complicated. Even I make mistakes on saying my age sometimes.

But it's fun-surpising when a Korean goes on a trip to a Western country because s/he gets younger at most 2 years. *^^*
