Saturday - War Museum

So last Saturday my friends and I went to the War Museum showing weapons, planes, tanks and other Korean war memoribillia in Seoul. It was amazing. Seeing tanks that were actually used in the war and planes was an unbelievable site. We spent approximently 3 hours just walking around and taking pictures. There was also the hall of names from those who were lost during the war. It was also neat to see all the countries' flags who helped South Korea between 1950 and 1953. More information about the war can be found here: Korean War (Wikipedia).

Here is a picture of a dragon that was near the museum:

The Hall of names:

There were four halls like this and I am sure more names inside the building.

Outside the building:

Some of the countries that helped fight in the Korean war. I was lucky enough to get a shot when the Canadian flag was waving nicely:

Some Random shots:

My friend Oscar and I saw this cool looking stage and we thought it really looked like a scene from Street Fighter:

FINISH HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really amazing seeing these artillery right infront of my eyes and knowing that they were used during the Korean War. I really suggest people to go to the war museum if they have a chance to visit Seoul.

Sorry!

Sorry I havn't had time to post lately. I really wanted to make a post when I upload my pictures instead of post now, and upload later. The computer I have been using to upload my pictures from the compact flash card seems to be broken so I am having a hard time trying to find a computer that can upload my pictures. Even before it would take at least an hour to upload 60 pictures! So from now on, I will just write on events that I have done and then post pictures when I can. I still have over 150 pictures to post!

So again, sorry >.<

Friday- Trip to Seoul

So a bunch of us decided to go to Seoul to do some late night shopping in Dongdaemun Market (the cheaper area) on Friday. Here are a lot of pictures of the trip:

We got a little hungry so we decided to go find some food:

Alaskan King Crap was a bit out of our budget:

This was more like it for our wallets!

Back outside:

Inside the shopping Complex:

And on our way out: (I bought a jacket by the way)

Back on the busy streets:

Then we ended up here:

To celebrate our night out and ending up in the Women's University, we decided to get drunk at a few bars:

Some late night munchies, McDonalds!

This was the Love Motel that we stayed at. A Love Motel is basically a cheap place ($35 a night) to stay for couples who want to have sex. We stayed here because it was cheap.
